Oscar heyecanı, Sinema Sanatları ve Bilimleri Akademisi’nin 2024 Oscar adaylarının kısa listesini açıklamasıyla bir defa daha yükseldi. 21 Aralık’ta duyurulan bu liste, Milletlerarası Uzun Metraj Sinema, Belgesel, Ses, Yepyeni Müzik, Orjinal Müzik, Makyaj ve Saç Tasarımı, Görsel Efektler, Canlı Aksiyon Kısa Sinema, Belgesel Kısa Husus ve Animasyon Kısa Sinema üzere birçok kategoriyi kapsıyor. Tam aday listesi, kısa listelerin açıklanmasından tam bir ay sonra, 23 Ocak’ta ilan edilecek.
Beklenen sinemalardan “Killers of the Flower Moon”, “Barbie”, “Poor Things” ve “Maestro” çeşitli kategorilerde yer alarak dikkat çekti. “Barbie” beş kısa liste adaylığı ile öne çıkarken, “Killers of the Flower Moon” dört, “The Color Purple”, “Oppenheimer” ve “Poor Things” ise üçer adaylık elde etti.
Ukraynalı belgesel “20 Days in Mariupol” ve Tunus üretimi IŞİD kıssası “Four Daughters” ise hem Memleketler arası Uzun Metraj Sinema hem de Belgesel Özellik kategorilerinde yer alarak dikkatleri üzerine çekti.
Akademi Mükafatı adaylığı oylaması 11-16 Ocak tarihleri ortasında gerçekleşecek. Resmi adaylar 23 Ocak’ta açıklanacak ve son oylama 22-27 Şubat tarihleri ortasında yapılacak. 96. yıllık Akademi Mükafatları ise 10 Mart’ta sahiplerini bulacak.
IndieWire’ın En Güzel Memleketler arası Uzun Metraj Sinema iddiaları ortasında “Fallen Leaves”, “Perfect Days” ve “The Zone of Interest” yer alıyor. Bu sinemalar, “Anatomy of a Fall” isimli sinemada rol alan Sandra Huller ile şenlik seyahatlerine dikkat çekiyor.
Ryan Gosling’in seslendirdiği ve ortak yazdığı viral “Barbie” baladı “I’m Just Ken”, Billie Eilish ve Dua Lipa’nın öteki “Barbie” müzikleriyle birlikte En Yeterli Orjinal Müzik kısa listesine girdi.
Belgesel Özellik kategorisinde “Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie” ve “American Symphony” üzere yıldız gücü taşıyan sinemalar yer alıyor. Ayrıyeten “The Eternal Memory”, “Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project”, “Four Daughters” ve “Bobi Wine: The People’s President” üzere imaller da ödül döneminde ilgi görmeye devam ediyor.
